So, in 2017 I found this error fare from Frankfurt to San Francisco (Lufthansa, 600 € for a return ticket in business class) and I decided to visit in November 2017 my friend Eirini who lives there. I would be an idiot to not grab it instantly (was good only for 12 hours before they fixed it back to the regular price of 4,500+ €).
I already had planned my 80 days trip to Indochina/Pacific Rim, so at the end it resulted to me having visited Asia, Australia, North America and of course Europe where I live.
Then in January, between San Francisco and Pacific Rim, there was an offer for a flight to Cape Town. I am an offers hunter, so I booked it for 2 weeks after my return from Melbourne. And so it was only South America I wouldn’t have visited in this 6 months window.
TAP regularly offers flights between European and Brazilian cities in the 300-400 € range for a return ticket in economy class. When I saw the offer for a Lisbon-Belem flight in May 2018, I decided to do it and complete a 6 continents Marathon in 6 months.
Brazil was the completion of this task. This contrast rich country must be placed on the top of any traveller’s bucket list.
